25 More Pieces of Art

Is a piece of free art better than a coupon for $5 off your next pizza? I think so!

What a great time I had at the Remnants of the Past Vintage Show over the weekend. It was held at the Madonna Conference Center and an added bonus on Sunday was the classic car show – so lots of automobile bling to look at on the way in.

I gave away 25 more pieces of art. Some to vendors at the show I know – like Melissa James and Jenny Kompolt of The Junk Girls, Anna Corba, and Kymberly Fraser Brown of A Beautiful Mess. I also met and gave random packages to Debi Burton of Ormolulu, Tamila Morgan of UrbanFarms natural soaps, and Jenny Karp of Glitterfarm. In each case, it was such a delight to see the response to getting these items. Joy, surprise and appreciation was in abundance.

I left several packages on the windshields of cars in the parking lot or about the conference center. People are sure to have come across these random acts of art-ness. If you were the recipient of one of these packages, I would love to hear from you as to the piece’s new location. Tracking where the go is half the fun for me.

Today, a fellow artist asked if she could send me some pieces to distribute in the next round. The answer? Of course!

My vision for this project is more artists, more locations, more free Art for Everyone.
